Addiction is such a nasty disease. Heroin took the life of my uncle 11 years ago. He fought to beat it but he couldn’t and it got the best of him. He was found in a hotel room, needle still in his arm. Whatever you do, whoever you are, I beg you not to take that first shot. Living without my uncle these past 11 years has genuinely sucked. He was my best friend when I was a girl and I miss him. He wasn’t there for my first day of high school, my prom, my graduation or my first day of college. It’s not just yourself you’ll be hurting- you’ll be hurting those around you that you love so much, too. I love and miss my uncle SO much. If you or someone you know has a problem, I beg you to get help. There is help out there and you can kick it! Rest in the sweetest peace Michael, I will always love you.
